Maruti Suzuki India Limited hasn’t been really active in the past years and many launches have been delayed. 2021 Maruti Suzuki Celerio Launch – Exteriors

Maruti Suzuki has completely redesigned the new Celerio and it looks quite handsome in the images. The leaked images show the presence of single barrel halogen headlights and fog lights. On the front, we get a small grille with chrome garnish that extends to the headlights. The lower part of the bumper gets thick black inserts and space for the registration plate.

On the side, we get blacked-out alloy wheels, expectedly of 15-inch, and pull-up type door handles. The indicators are mounted on the ORVMs and we also get to see the request sensor for the driver’s door. On the back, the Celerio gets squarish taillights but they lack the LED treatment. In a nutshell, the new Celerio looks much better than the current model and sports a tall boy stance that would also mean better headroom on the inside.

On the inside, you will notice a ton of part sharing with the Wagon-R and the S-Presso. It’s for the first time the Celerio will be getting the 7.0-inch SmartPlay infotainment system that supports both Android Auto and Apple Car Play. In addition to that, we get to see other features like push-button start-stop, digital tachometer, steering mounted controls, electrically-operated ORVMs and more. The steering and the instrument cluster have been carried over from the new Wagon-R whereas the front power window switches are reminiscent of that of the S-Presso.

The new Celerio is expected to come with the updated 1.0-litre K10 petrol engine. The 3-pot unit could get the Dualjet technology that will bump up the power along with the fuel efficiency. The power and torque figures are yet to be known but we expect them to be segment best. In addition to that, there will be both 5-speed manual and AMT options on offer.
