2022 Hyundai Tucson India Launch Nears – Testing Begins

2022 Hyundai Tucson India Launch - Exteriors

The 2022 Tucson comes with the brand’s latest design language, featuring sharp cuts and creases all around. The new grille features parametric jewels and the LED elements are merged well into the design elements of the front grille. The main headlights sit lower on the bumper and the inverted creases on the lower bumper gel well with the overall design of the SUV. On the side, we get angular creases and machine-cut alloy wheels. On the rear, the new Tucson features inverted LED connected taillights and knurled pattern on the lower bumper.

2022 Hyundai Tucson India Launch - Interiors

On the inside, Tucson features a far more contemporary design with high-quality materials in use. The centre of the dash features the 10.25-inch infotainment system that is complemented with faux running AC vents. The AC controls of the new Tucson are touch-based and can operate two zones separately. The lower part of the dash features the shift-by-wire controls as the Tucson gets buttons to change gears. Hyundai has taken a leap with the interiors in terms of overall quality and fit & finish levels over the older Tucson.

2022 Hyundai Tucson India Launch - Engines

With the new Tucson, Hyundai India is expected to bring the new generation of engines that power Tucson globally. Currently, the third-gen Tucson comes with 2.0-litre petrol and diesel engine options with automatic transmission options only. However, with the new-gen incoming, we expect Hyundai to offer 2.5-litre naturally-aspirated petrol and 2.0-litre diesel powertrains, mated to automatic gearbox options. The diesel engine will also come mated to optional AWD for added capabilities.

2022 Hyundai Tucson India Launch - Rivals and Expected Price

2022 Hyundai Tucson is slated to get launched early next year and it will take on the likes of the Jeep Compass and Citroen C5 Aircross. The fourth-gen Hyundai Tucson will be priced in the region of 25 to 30 lakh ex-showroom PAN India.
