2022 Maruti Vitara Brezza Spied – Gets Sunroof and More

2022 Maruti Vitara Brezza Spied - Gets Sunroof and More

It’s no secret that Maruti Suzuki cars are lacking behind from competition when it comes to new-age tech and features. While they offer a resounding powertrain and reliability, they lack the wow factor. Well, Maruti Suzuki has understood that fact and the notion will be changed with the new 2022 Maruti Vitara Brezza. The 2022 Maruti Vitara Brezza has been spied for the first time and it boasts an all-new design along with a ton of new features.

2022 Maruti Vitara Brezza - Exteriors

The 2022 Brezza will come with completely revised exteriors. On the front, we get a new fascia with a new chrome grille. The LED headlights now feature twin-torch LEDs, similar to what we have been seeing with recent BMWs. In addition to that, the bonnet has now become a bit flatter and broader whereas the lower bumper has been tweaked with the addition of LED fog lights. On the side, the ORVMs now boast a 360-degree parking camera. In addition to that, we get dual-tone machine-cut alloy wheels and subtle side cladding.

On the rear, the changes are bold with sleeker wraparound LED taillights that are somewhat reminiscent of the Nissan Pathfinder. The Brezza insignia is now spread across the boot lid and that hints at the possibility of Maruti Suzuki dropping the Vitara prefix altogether. Other additions like prominent roof rails, an electric sunroof and a shark fin antenna are also visible in the spied images.

2022 Maruti Vitara Brezza - Interiors

Coming to the interiors of the new Brezza, they are completely new and in line with what we have observed with the upcoming Baleno. The large floating touchscreen could measure up to 9-inches, will boast new connectivity features along with the industry-standard Apple Car Play and Android Auto. Along with that, the AC vents have now been repositioned below the touchscreen in a sleeker casing. The steering is also all-new and also boasts paddle shifters. The instrument cluster of the new Brezza is a similar unit to what we have been getting in other Maruti Suzuki cars.

2022 Maruti Vitara Brezza - Engine and Performance

Maruti Suzuki will carry on with the potent 1.5L naturally-aspirated petrol engine that is powering the Brezza, Ertiga, S-Cross, XL6 and Ciaz. The four-banger produces 105Hp of power and 138 Nm of torque. It will come mated to a 5-speed manual and 4-speed automatic gearbox. In addition to that, the engine will boast SHVS smart hybrid technology with a Li-ion battery. We don’t expect Maruti Suzuki to offer any new powertrain options with the new Vitara Brezza.

2022 Maruti Vitara Brezza - Rivals and Launch Date

Maruti Suzuki is going to have a busy year ahead. We have just seen the launch of the second-gen Celerio and both the Baleno Facelift and new Vitara Brezza are slated for 2022. Maruti Suzuki could launch the 2022 Vitara Brezza in mid-2022 and there will be some major price revisions as well. Talking about the rivals, the new Brezza will take on the likes of the Hyundai Venue, Tata Nexon, Kia Sonet, Mahindra XUV300, Nissan Magnite, Renault Kiger etc.
