2022 Skoda Slavia Design Sketches Revealed

2022 Skoda Slavia Design Sketches

Skoda India has only revealed the exterior design sketches of the Slavia whereas the interiors are yet to be unveiled. Talking about the design, the Slavia sports the typical Skoda front end with hexagonal Skoda grille flanked with LED headlights along with L-shaped LED DRLs. The lower part of the bumper sees the inclusion of fog lights and some chrome garnishing. The alloy wheels, door handles and ORVMs will obviously be changed to production-spec closer to the global unveil.

Moving to the side profile, the Slavia carries on the two characteristic lines, the upper one covers the length of the sedan whereas the lower one originates from the front fenders and end to the taillights. The front fenders also see the bold Skoda badging. The sloping roofline of the Slavia is unique and looks very stylish. The rear profile of the Slavia features inverted LED taillights and large Skoda insignia spread across.

Skoda India will pack the Slavia to the brim and we can expect features like an electric sunroof, six airbags, wireless charging, ventilated seats, digital cockpit and a lot more. Talking about the powertrain options, the Slavia will come powered with 1.0-litre TSI and 1.5-litre TSI petrol engines. The former 3-pot unit will churn out 115Hp and 175 Nm whereas the latter four-banger will put out 150Hp and 250 Nm of torque. Both the engines will come mated to a standard 6-speed manual and clutchless duties will be handled by 6-speed auto and 7-speed DSG with 1.0 TSI and 1.5 TSI respectively.

Skoda India has already discontinued the Rapid to make way for the bigger and better Slavia. The all-new Slavia will take on the likes of the Honda City, Hyundai Verna, Maruti Suzuki Ciaz and the upcoming Volkswagen Virtus. Skoda India is expected to price the Slavia competitively and it’s expected to fall in the region of 10-15 lakh ex-showroom price bracket. The Czech carmaker will unveil the Slavia on November 18th whereas the launch could take place in early 2022.
