2022 Volkswagen Tiguan Launched at Rs 31.99 Lakh

Volkswagen India has finally launched the 2022 Volkswagen Tiguan that has been locally assembled at the Aurangabad facility. 2022 Volkswagen Tiguan launched at Rs 31.99 lakh and it fills the spot left by the pre-facelifted Tiguan TDI. The new Tiguan comes with a lot of changes along with a new 2.0-litre TSI petrol engine.

2022 Volkswagen Tiguan Launched

2022 Volkswagen Tiguan gets subtle exterior changes over the pre-facelifted model in form of a redesigned front fascia. The new Tiguan is inspired by the new-gen Golf thanks to sharp LED headlights with twin LED DRLs. The headlights of the new Tiguan are Matrix units and come with IQ Light technology which adapts to the oncoming traffic and conditions. On the exteriors, we get cornering lights, 18-inch alloy wheels, LED combination taillights with click-clack effect and more.

Coming to the interiors, the new Tiguan remains largely unchanged but gets better technology features. Taking the centre stage is the new 8-inch touchscreen infotainment that supports gesture control, Android Auto, Apple Car Play and Volkswagen Connect. Other features include a flat-bottomed steering wheel, panoramic sunroof, 30-colour ambient lighting, illuminated scuff plates, six airbags, drive and traction modes, 10.25-inch virtual cockpit, soft-touch dashboard, leather seats, tri-zone climate control and more.

Powering the Tiguan is the 2.0-litre TSI petrol engine that puts out 190Hp and 320 Nm of torque. It’s the same unit that also powers the Tiguan AllSpace and premium sedans from Skoda. However, it comes mated to the renowned 4Motion AWD and 7-speed DSG gearbox. Volkswagen has ditched the frugal and much-loved 2.0-litre TDI for cleaner petrol propulsion.

Coming to the price, Volkswagen Tiguan has been launched in a fully-loaded Elegance variant and that’s priced at Rs 31.99 lakh ex-showroom. Moreover, Volkswagen Tiguan is offered in 7 different exterior shades along with curated service and warranty packages. 2022 Volkswagen Tiguan takes on the likes of the Jeep Compass, Hyundai Tucson and Citroen C5 Aircross.
