Mahindra and Mahindra has been in the news for the impressive XUV700. While that just marks the innings for some exciting products ahead. The new XUV700 is all set top get launched on October 2nd and it will be offered in multiple powertrain options and variants. There are other products that Mahindra has slated for launch in the coming years. Here are all the upcoming cars by Mahindra and Mahindra in the coming years.

Mahindra is giving a generation change to two of its popular offering – the XUV500 and Scorpio. In addition to that, Mahindra is also going to launch electric vehicles to compete with the rivals in the markets.

All-new Mahindra XUV700

Mahindra is all set to launch its new premium SUV, the XUV700 and it will replace the old XUV500. Mahidnra has already announced the pricing of the base variants that start from Rs 11.99 lakh ex-showroom. Out on the exteriors, the new XUV700 carries over the silhouette from the XUV500 and also features flush-fitting door handles. Other highlights include ADAS tuned for the Indian roads, segment-best Skyroof, adaptive cruise control, Adrenox connected tech with twin 10.25-inch displays and a lot more.

Coming to the engine options, the new XUV700 comes powered with two engine options. The 2.2-litre diesel engine is offered in two states of tune – 155Hp/360 NM and 185Hp/480 Nm and only the latter one gets the AT option and AWD as optional. The 2.0-litre T-GDI is standard across the range and it produces 200Hp and 380 Nm of torque, available with both 6-speed MT and AT. Talking of pricing, the XUV700 will fall in the region of Rs 11.99 lakh to 21 lakh ex-showroom PAN India.

The new Scorpio has been doing rounds around the country and has been spied multiple times on camera. The 2021 Scorpio has a lot riding on its shoulders and it will surely impressive the prospective buyers with its range of features.Talking about the styling, the new Scorpio will retain its tall riding SUV stance and offer the road presence it’s known for. Features like 8.0-inch touchsreen infotainment, automatic climate control, leather seats, electric sunroof etc will be offered.

Mahindra Scorpio will share its engine options with the Thar. While the 2.0-litre T-GDI petrol is expected to procude the same 150Hp, the 2.2-litre diesel could be offered in the 155Hp tune, seen with the XUV700 MX Series rather than the Thar’s 130Hp tune. Mahindra Scorpio will be priced competitively and it will sit below the XUV700 in the portfolio. Mahindra is expected to launch the new Scorpio in early 2022.

Mahindra showcased the xuv300 Sportz edition at the 2020 Auto Expo. Along with the sporty red highlights, the heart of the matter was the new 1.2-litre T-GDI petrol engine with more power. The new engine features direct injection and produces 130Hp and 230 Nm of torque that is 20Hp and 30 Nm more than the current 1.2-litre turbocharged engine. The additional power and torque comes courtesy of direct injection better tuning.

The launch of the XUV300 T-GDI has been delayed but Mahindra could introduce the new engine in the series later this year. It will take on the likes of the Kia Sonet 1.0, Hyundai Venue 1.0, Tata Nexon Petrol etc.

Mahindra Marazzo is one capable MPV in the Indian market but has been struggling lately to garner sales. Mahindra is planning to upgrade the Marazzo range with the addition of diesel AMT and turbocharged petrol engine options. While the diesel engine will be the same 1.5-litre unit mated to a 6-speed AMT, the 1.2-litre T-GDI engine will be all new, that will also power the XUV300 Sportz.

Mahindra showcased an unfinished electric version of the XUV300 electric at the 2020 Auto Expo. While it was not a motor-driven model entirely, it will be a fully electric sub-compact SUV when launched. The XUV300 Electric will have some blue highlights along with tweaked front and rear profile. However, the overall silhouette and interior layout is expected to remain the same.

Even though we don’t have much to talk about the drivetrain and figures to support it, it will go head on the with the Nexon EV. Hence, we can expect a range of over 350 km on a single charge and a powerful front-mounted electric motor. India launch of the XUV300 Electric is expected around early 2023.
