Volkswagen has a prominent presence in the Indian market and has multiple cars on offer, from budget to luxury segment. With the India 2.0 plan in place, Volkswagen is now actively rolling out new India-specific products at affordable prices and that has helped the German carmaker a lot in terms of volumes and market share. Here we tell you the Volkswagen cars price in India along with a brief look at the variants and features on offer.

Volkswagen India currently offers Polo, Vento, Taigun and Tiguan. The recent launch is the Tiguan whereas the Polo sits as the base model in the brand’s portfolio. 

Volkswagen Polo - Rs 6.32 - 9.99 Lakh

Volkswagen Polo

Volkswagen Polo was one of the most popular hatchbacks in India thanks to the GT badge. Volkswagen Polo was launched in 2011 but since then, has received multiple heart transplants. Currently, the Polo comes powered with 1.0-litre nat-asp petrol and a 1.0-litre TSI petrol engine. The latter could be had with both 6-speed manual and automatic gearbox options.

Coming to the features, the Polo offers twin-pot headlights, cornering foglights, 16-inch alloy wheels, touchscreen infotainment with Android Auto and Apple Car Play, electrochromic IRVM and more. The Polo is offered in Trendline, Comfortline and Highline variants with special editions like Turbo and Matte editions. The range starts from Rs 6.32 lakh and goes to Rs 9.99 lakh ex-showroom.

Volkswagen Vento - Rs 9.99 - 14.50 Lakh

Volkswagen Vento is a no-nonsense compact sedan that shares its underpinnings with the Rapid. Post the BS6 era, the Vento is only available with a 1.0-litre TSI petrol engine, mated with either a 6-speed manual or automatic gearbox. With the recent facelift, Volkswagen added all-LED headlights and taillights along with a fresher alloy wheel design.

Coming to the features, the Vento offers all-LED headlights, LED taillights, touchscreen infotainment with Android Auto and Apple Car Play, dual airbags, traction control and more. In terms of variants, the Vento is offered in Comfortline, Highline and Highline Plus. Volkswagen Vento range starts from Rs 9.99 lakh and goes to Rs 14.50 lakh ex-showroom.

Volkswagen Taigun - Rs 10.54 - 17.54 Lakh

Volkswagen Taigun

Volkswagen Taigun is the first product with the VW badge out of the India 2.0 project. It’s based on the MQB-AO IN platform and shares its engines with the Kushaq. Powering the Taigun are 1.0 TSI and 1.5 TSI petrol engines. While the former is available with 6-speed MT and AT, the latter gets 6-speed MT and 7-speed DSG gearbox options.

Talking about the features, the Taigun comes with ventilated seats, electric sunroof, cruise control, keyless entry and go, 10.-inch touchscreen with Android Auto and Apple Car Play, digital instrument cluster and more. The Taigun is available in Comfortline, Topline, Highline, GT and GT Plus trim levels. The range starts from Rs 10.54 lakh and goes to Rs 17.54 lakh ex-showroom.

Volkswagen Tiguan - Rs 31.99 Lakh

Volkswagen Tiguan is the latest SUV to roll out from VW group and it’s now locally assembled. The Tiguan AllSpace that was a CBU has now been discontinued and is expected to make a return with the facelift. The Tiguan comes powered with a sole 2.0-litre TSI unit, mated with a 7-speed DSG gearbox and 4Motion AWD.

Talking about the features, the Tiguan offers a panoramic sunroof, 30-colour ambient lighting, illuminated scuff plates, six airbags, drive and traction modes, 10.25-inch virtual cockpit, soft-touch dashboard, leather seats, tri-zone climate control and more. Volkswagen Tiguan comes with a fully-specced Excellence trim that is priced at Rs 31.99 Lakh ex-showroom.
