2021 Force Gurkha Launched at Rs 13.59 Lakh

Force Motors has finally announced the pricing of the new Gurkha that is launched at Rs 13.59 lakh ex-showroom. Unlike before, the new Gurkha is offered in a single fully-loaded trim that is powered by a sole diesel powertrain. The Force Gurkha has only one arch-rival in the market that is the Mahindra Thar.

The new Force Gurkha measures more than four metres in length whereas the Thar is under four metres. Talking of the dimensions, the Gurkha measures 4,116 mm in length, 1,812 mm in width and 2,075 mm in height with a wheelbase of 2,400 mm. Force also claims the largest window area in the segment with a single pane glass at either end for rear passengers. The exterior features include dual-tone alloy wheels with AT tyres, LED headlights, cornering lamps, standard snorkel, roof rails etc.

2021 Force Gurkha – Interiors and Features

The interiors of the new Gurkha have gained a leap in terms of features and overall quality levels. We get a central infotainment system that supports both Android Auto and Apple Car Play. The updated instrument cluster features a tachometer and a small MID. Other features include power windows, TPMS, dual airbags, ABS, USB charging socket, rear parking sensors and more. The regular bench seating of the Gurkha has now been replaced with two individual captain chairs for the rear passengers, making it a 4-seater SUV.

2021 Force Gurkha – Engine and Performance

Powering the Force Ghukra is a Mercedes-derived 2.6-litre CRDi diesel engine that produces 91Hp and 250 Nm of torque. The engine comes mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox only and a 4×4 drivetrain. The new Gurkha is offered with front and rear locking differentials, that’s unique as the Thar only gets the MLD for the back. The new Gurkha also gets coil springs at all four corners for better comfort.

2021 Force Gurkha – Price and Rivals

The all-new Force Gurkha has been priced at a premium that puts it very close to the Mahindra Thar. We were earlier expecting a sub 10 lakh pricing but Force has crushed all the hopes with an ex-showroom price of 13.59 lakh. If we compare it with the Thar, the LX Diesel MT hardtop costs Rs 13.68 lakh ex-showroom. In a nutshell, the new Thar is a superior product over the Gurkha with better features and more power.
