2021 MG Astor Launch on October 11th

MG Motor India has been sailing with the SUVs in the Indian market and here is another one incoming. 2021 MG Astor launch is scheduled to happen on October 11th and it will go straight against the Hyundai Creta and Kia Seltos. The bookings are currently open and you can test drive the Astor in the MG showrooms.

 

2021 MG Astor Launch – Exteriors

MG Astor is the ICE counterpart of the ZS EV and sports some changes to differentiate. On the front, we get to see the celestial grille and sleeker LED headlights with multiple LED elements. On the side, MG has offered 17-inch alloy wheels with red brake callipers. MG Astor measures 4,323 mm in length, 1,809 mm in width and 1,650 mm in height. MG Astor will come packed with many features including Level 2 autonomous driving with rear collision warning as well.

 

2021 MG Astor Launch – Interiors

As compared to the ZS EV, the interior of the Astor is better in terms of quality and interior finishing. We get three upholstery options on offer and the turbo variants get further sporty touches. The 10-inch infotainment system sits on the centre of the dashboard and the digital instrument cluster is all exclusive to the Astor. In terms of features, digital key support, a 360-degree parking camera, heated ORVMs, six-way power-adjustable seats, panoramic sunroof, steering modes and more.

 

2021 MG Astor Launch – Engine and Performance

The new MG Astor comes packed with two engine options – 1.5-litre naturally-aspirated petrol engine and a 1.3-litre turbocharged petrol engine. While the 1.5-litre engine is offered with both a 5-speed manual and 8-step CVT, the turbo engine is offered with only a 6-speed AT. The turbo engine comes with the Brit Dynamic badging all across along with sportier touches.

 

2021 MG Astor Launch – Price and Rivals

MG Motor India will announce the prices of the new Astor on October 11th, 12 PM. It will be priced alongside the Hyundai Creta and Kia Seltos as both the Korean siblings are the arch-rivals to the new Astor. We expect MG to price the Astor in the region of Rs 10-17 lakh ex-showroom.
