MG Cars Price in India 2021
As we stated earlier, MG Motor India offers five SUVs in the Indian market. The recently launched MG Astor is the most affordable offering among the five and we start the list with the Astor.
MG Astor – Rs 9.78 – 17.38 Lakh
MG Astor is the ICE counterpart of the popular MG ZS EV and also gets the ZS moniker at the back. Talking about the powertrain options, the Astor comes with two engine options – 1.5-litre nat-asp petrol and a 1.4-litre with the Trophy edition. Both the engines can be had with respective manual transmission and buyers can also opt for CVT and 6-speed torque converter respectively.
MG Hector – Rs 13.49 – 19.35 Lakh
MG made the debut in the Indian market with Hector and also gave a minor nip and tuck to appeal more to the buyers. Talking about the engine options, the Hector comes with two engine options – 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol and a 2.0-litre FCA-sourced diesel engine. While the petrol engine can be had with a manual, hybrid, CVT and DCT, the diesel engine is solely offered with a 6-speed manual gearbox.
MG Hector Plus – Rs 15.38 – 19.99 Lakh
MG Hector Plus is the seven-seat incarnation of the Hector and comes with both 6- and 7-seater options. In addition to that, the Hector Plus also comes with increased length and some design changes to differentiate between the two. Talking about the engine options, the Hector Plus is also available with the same 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol and 2.0-litre diesel as we get with the Hector.
Talking about the prices, the Hector Plus range starts from Rs 15.38 lakh as it isn’t offered with a base variant, and tops at Rs 19.99 lakh. When it comes to the variants, the Hector Plus is offered in Style, Super, Smart, Sharp and the recently introduced Select. The MG Hector Plus takes on the likes of the Hyundai Alcazar, Mahindra XUV700, Tata Safari and Toyota Innova Crysta
MG ZS EV – Rs 21 – 24.68 Lakh
MG ZS EV was an ambitious move by MG Motors as it was the second offering in the Indian market. Launching a fully-electric SUV in a period when the EV market was crawling baby steps was a bold move. Well, it picked up well and the ZS EV found many buyers. MG ZS EV is offered with a 44.5kWh battery pack that powers a 143Ps electric motor.
MG Gloster – Rs 29.98 – 37.68 Lakh
MG Gloster is the flagship SUV from MG in the Indian market and it was also the first SUV in its class to offer ADAS capabilities. The Gloster comes powered with two diesel engine options – a 2.0-litre diesel and a 2.0-litre twin-turbo diesel engine. The twin-turbo engine is offered with both automatic and 4×4 drivetrain options.
Coming to the features, the Gloster is offered with captain chairs, ADAS Level 1 capabilities, semi-digital instrument cluster, connected car tech, 360-degree parking camera, drive and terrain modes and a lot more. Coming to the price, the Gloster range starts from Rs 29.98 lakh and goes to Rs 37.68 lakh ex-showroom. In terms of variants, the Gloster is offered in Super, Smart, Sharp and Savvy and takes on the likes of the Toyota Fortuner, Mahindra Alturas G4 and Isuzu MU-X.
