Kia first showcased the Seltos X Line at the 2020 Auto Expo in form of a concept. One year down the road, Kia has now unveiled the X Line and it carries some cues from the X Line concept. The changes are cosmetic and no mechanical changes have been offered with the Kia Seltos XLine.

Kia Seltos X Line revealed – Exteriors

The Seltos X Line gets smoked LED headlights, a blacked-out grille, and a skid plate with orange inserts on the outside. Other than that, Kia has also added 18-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels with orange hub cap surrounds, X Line badging on the tailgate and an orange skid plate at the rear. The chrome garnishing on the back has now been replaced with a glossy black finish. In addition to that, the X Line is exclusively offered in a matte grey paint scheme from the factory.

Kia Seltos X Line revealed – Interiors

On the inside, Kia has offered the Indigo Pera leatherette seats with a honeycomb stitching pattern. That’s the only change on the inside and the dashboard is finished in a black and grey colour scheme. Other than that, it offers all the standard features of the GT Line. Features like 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment with UVO connect, ventilated seats, blind view monitor, electric sunroof and drive and traction modes have been offered.

Kia Seltos X Line revealed – Engine options

Kia has placed the X Line above the GT Line and it shares the engine options with the GT Line as well. With that being said, Kia will offer the Seltos X Line with 1.4-litre T-GDI petrol and 1.5-litre CRDi diesel engine options with their respective 7-speed DCT and 6-speed automatic gearbox options. The bigger 18-inch alloy wheels may affect the fuel economy by a slight margin over the GT Line trims that come with 17-inch wheels.

Kia Seltos X Line revealed – Launch date and price

Kia is expected to launch the Seltos X Line in the first week of September. Unlike the anniversary limited edition launched earlier, the X Line will be the standard variant in the Seltos’ portfolio. Kia Motors could price the X Line at a premium of Rs 30,000 – 40,000 over the GT Line. Kia Seltos GT Line currently starts from Rs 16.65 lakh and goes to Rs 17.65 lakh ex-showroom.
